Tea Lovers Dream

“You can never get a cup of tea large enough or a book long enough to suit me.” – C. S. Lewis

I am all about my coffee, but if there is one thing I love more – it is tea; cold, hot, whichever way – I love it all! We make about two gallons of tea every week and a half for just Josh and myself and I have a cup of hot tea almost every night. I generally just get bagged tea to make myself a hot cup.  I am actually kind of scared of loose leaf tea and the “work” it requires! Recently, my mind has changed on loose leaf tea. On a good Saturday I get the chance to curl up with a book during crossover nap time! I have rounded up some of my favorite things about tea – from a loose tea maker to a good book!

Tea Maker: rapidTEA Loose Tea Maker by Tealyra

Ya’ll – I cannot even begin to tell you how easy this tea maker is to use! You spoon the loose tea in to the tea maker, add hot water, and let it steep for 4-5 minutes. Once it is done, place the tea maker on top of your mug (any mug!) and it drain the tea. There are no tea leaves OR dripping water! Perfect cup of tea EVERY time. You can get yours HERE for just $26.50 on Amazon! It is easy to clean – like *really* easy. I just run water over the grounds, swirl them around, and dump them out – WALA!

Tealyra Healthy Edge Tea:

Healthy edge tea is all that and more! It is yummy but also features a low caffeine level. As you know, drinking a cup of high caffeine tea late at night is NOT a good idea! I always add honey and sugar to my tea so it probably takes the healthy right out of it! Ha. One thing I love about these loose tea grounds is they can be used a few times! No need to toss them right after one use. You can grab your own HERE at Amazon for only $13.45.

‘Show Me Your Kitties’ Mug:

HA! This cracks me up. You all know my love for cats so how could I resist this mug?! Only $10.99 on Amazon with PRIME shipping! Really any mug will do but of course this is one of my favorites. My BFF actually just recently ordered me one off of Etsy before I even realized I needed one in my life!

Take Me To The Start Book:

I recently had the opportunity to read and review this book and I can say that I am hooked! It is available HERE for the Kindle for just $3.99 which is a great deal! JD got me a Kindle Fire for Christmas so it is essential to all my tea drinking needs 🙂 It was a great story with a mix of mystery, syfy, and romance. The story line is easy to follow as main characters Sophie and Benjamin find a way to navigate through their different worlds together. Recommend it for anyone who loves mysteries/romance books! J R Kravit does a great job drawing the readers in to the book.

A couple of years ago I was blessed to run into Elise A. Scott, one of 8 certified “tea masters”, in the USA.
She mentioned to me that most tea bags are made with “tea dust”, meaning after the monkeys climb the trees to get the tea leaves, they are then dried out. The top of the vat is where the loose tea comes from. The bottom of the vat, after the loose tea has been removed, is what is called tea dust. The bottom of the barrel! If you take a tea bag, like lipton, open it and then you will see why it is called tea dust. You will always get a better cup of tea with loose leaves. Ms. Scott has a web site in case your interested.

    Hope this helps!

    My best,
