Instant Pot How-To: Create Handle for PIP Cooking!
As time goes on I have been exploring more and more about different cooking techniques for the Instant Pot. I used to think that the only options were meals that could be cooking in the actual inner pot. I recently discovered that you can, in fact, us another pan in the Instant Pot to cook casseroles (see my cowboy casserole) and other dishes! The first time I plopped my 9-inch round dish down in the pot to cook I didn’t even think about how to get it out. Now, times have changed 🙂 Here is a step-by-step tutorial (with pictures) so that you can have a successful pan-in-pot (PIP) cooking experience!
Step 1: Get a piece of tinfoil that is wider than your pan.
(Also make sure your pan will fit in your Instant Pot – yep, made that mistake before!)
Step 2: Fold the tinfoil hot dog style 4-5 times.
Step 3: Wrap around your pan and fold together to keep in place.
And – now you are ready to set out on all of your cooking adventures! This makes it so easy to take out of the Instant Pot after cooking!
