Cooking Up Memories with Kroger Chef Junior

Creating memories with my kids is one of my absolute FAVORITE things. A few months ago my cousin told me about Kroger hosting cooking classes and I could not wait to look in to it! The website says ideal ages are 4-10 but I can assure you that my 2-1/2 year old loves it and does  very well (we just pull a chair over for her to reach the table!).

The cost is 7$ which includes the apron, hat, recipe box, recipe card, cooking tool, patch and materials for the class! I would be willing to pay more so I think it is an extremely good deal.

Today’s recipe was Tostadas! Every class begins with the teacher talking to the kids about always washing their hands and then we all wash our hands together! Then the “cooking” begins. The class is designed more to show how to assemble final product once the main part it cooked. The teacher demonstrates and the kids then follow the recipe card to make their own. Each class runs 20-30 minutes.

Rhory does a great job listening to the instructions. Instructions on the recipe card are very easy to follow with lots of pictures included and it unfolds to display the recipe from start to finish with a complete list of ingredients!

At the end the kids eat the final product -Rhory’s  favorite part!

If you have a Kroger near you then you MUST check this program out. Fun for kids of all ages and guaranteed to create some great memories!
